Synopsis:
Based on a true story, An American Haunting dates back to 19th century America.
Between the years 1818 and 1820 the Bell family of Red
River, Tennessee is haunted by an unknown and unexplained spirit.
The hauntings first started with simple sounds around the farm and the presence of a black wolf. Eventually, the hauntings
escalated to full blown attacks on the family. Most notable are the physical, violent attacks inflicted on Betsy Bell, the
family’s youngest daughter. The family feverishly tries to eliminate the threat of the spirit in vain. It soon begins
to communicate with them with a voice that resembles the wind. In turn the Bell family tries
harder to escape from the spirit, but the haunting only escalates and provides the premonition that the death of the one of
the Bell family members would soon occur.
